New to our range are these delicious and authentic Mexican corn tortillas. Tortillas are as staple as it gets in Mexico, eaten with most meals and also the basis for popular Mexican dishes such as tacos, quesadillas and burritos. We have three varieties available;
1) Natural, made with white corn
2) Blue, made with blue corn
3) Green, made with white corn and cactus leaves
Our tortillas are made in Mexico, and are vacuum packed for freshness. They have a long shelf life, but can be frozen if required. To cook, warm a dry frying pan and heat the tortillas for a minute or so, turning frequently to make sure they warm evenly. For the microwave, wrap your tortillas in a slightly damp, clean cloth, place inside a plastic bag and then warm for 30 seconds or so. They can then be used as you wish, served alongside a Mexican meal or to make tacos or quesadillas for a real taste of Mexico. For a classic Mexican breakfast, try some tortillas alongside your fried eggs instead of toast. These are perfect for people with a gluten intolerance, as being made with corn they are gluten free, and they are also a good source of vitamins and antoxidants.
