About this product

The Naga Jolokia, also known as the ‘Ghost’ chilli, was for a time recognised as the world’s hottest chilli (Guinness Book of Records, 2007), and it is still up there with the best of them. Grown in Assam, India, the Naga has a flavour similar to that of the Habanero, fruity and full, which manages to remain on the palate despite the chilli’s heat. As an indicator, the Naga is around twice as hot as a Habanero!

The Naga works particularly well in curries, where the strong flavours of other ingredients can stand up to it. Try using a little in a vindaloo or a jalfrezi to take these popular dishes to the next level of heat! As the Naga’s heat is so extreme, it really does need to be used with caution – even the most seasoned ‘hotheads’ can be taken aback by the chilli’s punch. It is also advisable to wash your hands thoroughly after handling Naga.

A must-have for all chilli lovers – as long as you can stand the heat!

Heat level – 10
