Verbena Berry
£5.60 – £14.80
About this product
The moment you open the bag, the lemon aroma of these little berries leaps out at you, fresh and zingy. Imagine the scent of a lemon meringue pie coming out of the oven, and you are in the correct neighbourhood! Production of these berries is limited to 200kg a year, so they are a rare treasure. The berries can be used in a similar way to lemon verbena leaf, to give that extra lemon oomph to fish, poultry and vegetables. They are very good for spicing lemon tea, or added to a blend for making chai, and are very useful in desserts where their flavour and aroma will infuse into jellies or coulis. And away from the kitchen, they will give freshness and zing to a pot pourri. Definitely a new Spice Mountain favourite!
