Ethiopian Passion Berries
£2.50 – £6.50
About this product
An essential part of Ethiopian cooking these small berries have a spicy and strong flavour, with an aroma redolent of passion fruit (hence the name). They are an integral part of the berbere spice blend which makes Ethiopia’s national dish, wat, and they are also very good when used with baked fish or chicken. Also they can be used with vegetables, and interestingly in cream sauces for poultry. In sweet dishes, they will add their unique flavour to poached pears, or even a pear tarte tatin.
