The tawa is a flat pan used in Indian and other Asian cuisines for making bread such as roti, chapatti and paratha, which are fried rather than baked. The tawa is from the Zinel brand, totally non-stick and made of aluminium with a diameter of 27cm. Apart from making Indian bread the tawa is also perfect for frying eggs, omelettes or French toast. It is suitable for gas or electric hobs, and is dishwasher safe.
